Browzwear would like to announce that co-founders Avihay Feld and Noam Nevo have re-joined the company. The return of the dynamic duo marks the start of a new and exciting chapter for the company.

Upon leaving Browzwear in 2007, Avihay moved on to become the COO of Aniboom, the first online collaborative animation studio.

Noam was the VP of R&D for IncrediMail, a successful public company providing email platform to over 100 million users.

In 2010 they teamed up again to establish Zizio, a dynamic company that focuses on connecting the two giant spaces of social network and e-commerce, generating business for more than 5700+ online retailers as of today.

The experience gathered in these past endeavours is invaluable for the road ahead for Browzwear.

With effect from January 15, 2012, Browzwear Limited has been acquired by Browzwear Solutions Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based company.

Browzwear Solutions is headed by Ms Sharon Lim. Many of you are familiar with Sharon, who is also the Managing Director of Pragma Solutions which has been our Distributor and technical support center  in Asia for the past 8 years.

Sharon has over 10 years of experience in the apparel industry, and has worked with leading brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, with exposure in Latin America as well as Asia.

Browzwear has established a strong partnership with Sharon since its early days due to her vision and passion for 3D technology. With her expertise and commitment, Browzwear’s business in Asia has expanded exponentially and has been adopted by many leading brands.

Browzwear Solutions will manage the Browzwear R&D center in Israel where its pool of talent will ensure continuous innovation to the product suites for our growing market.

Browzwear Solutions has also appointed Pragma Solutions as its Global Distributor with effect from 15 January 2012. Pragma Solutions’ professional support center will continue to handle all customer service and technical support for the Browzwear suite of products.

We strongly believe that this strategic alliance will enable us to bring about further 3D innovations that will make a positive impact on the industry and meet its growing challenges.

Browzwear version 4.9 introduces Unicode support, allowing the use of any language, new interoperability features , simulation improvements, improved avatars  and more.

Unicode support is now overall. This permits the use of non western European characters  in many areas such as :

• File names (VSGX, VSP, VSA,  images, 3D output)
• Folder names
• Color ways, fabrics, edge textures and attachments  names
• 3D notes, custom camera positions, 3D measuring tapes
• Avatars and more…

Added support for ASTM DXF format

It is now possible to import and export pattern files in ASTM format. ASTM is more advanced and robust than the older AAMA

Apply fabric changes to all color ways

A button in the fabric properties dialog box allows applying physical properties changes to the same fabric in all existing color ways. This saves the repeated manual updating of all color ways one by one.

3D Export enhancements

In addition to the existing  FBX and 3DS formats , export 3D also to:

• OBJ
• DAE
• DXF

Baby avatar new body part

A new body part was added under Body Shaping: Crotch

This body part is most useful when fitting tight panties or swimwear

Browzwear version 4.85 introduces an advanced licensing system, streamlined work process and an updated garment library including new garment types.

What’s new in version 4.85:

New and Advanced Licensing system

In order to allow full 64 bits compatibility as well as new and advanced licensing options, we are upgrading our licensing system to the Aladdin/Safenet Sentinel HASP.

This system is easier to use and to update.

Preparing for the new license system

• All preparations for the new system can be carried out prior the installation of version 4.85
• The new system will not interfere in any way with current or older versions used
• All the details are available in the document provided by Browzwear

Streamline the work process options

Outfit enhancements

Two enhancements were added to the outfit process

• Garment related avatar added to outfit map

It is now possible to summon any of the avatars related to the different garment s included in the outfit. This can be done at any time after the outfit has been created.

• Apply button added to outfit map

This allows switching color ways without closing the outfit map to view each change as in the previous version.  Mixing & matching or exploring the many color combinations can be viewed more easily.

DPI enhancement

As requested by many, version 4.85 recognizes the DPI value embedded in images and applies it automatically to the image properties in VStitcher. This saves the manual DPI assignment which was required for most images.

Ignore sizes mechanism on by default

No need for the manual action in the Garment Map.

Updated garment library

An updated garment library is now available

• The garments are all updated to the latest simulation
• New garments added
• Several new outfits are also available

What’s new in version 4.8:

Total outfit simulation

Combine 2 or more garments into one outfit. Control the interaction between the different garments of the outfit. For example, shirt inside pants, jackets and more…

All components of the outfit can be manipulated as needed.

• Garments combined by the outfit keep all their color ways, fabrics, stitches and clusters.
• Add or remove each garment at anytime
  • Select total outfits color ways
  • Switch color ways of the individual garments

Simulation

The new simulation version 41 is further improved

• It is faster by an average of 5%
• Collision is improved.
• Has an improved and smoother mechanism of shrink and force multiplier depth

Face and Back textures

The new option of displaying separate face and back fabric, edges and attachments images, which was introduced in version 4.7, is now supplemented with the ability to link both sides when the separation is not needed.

• New fabrics, edges or attachments face and back images are initially linked.
• Link or unlink them as needed.
• These actions may be reversed quickly at any time.

New measuring tools

A new set of dynamic measuring tools is available in version 4.8.

• Keep measurements visible or hidden
• Measurement lines may be attached to existing points and move with them
• Measurements are updated dynamically and displayed in 2D
• Measurement lines are saved with the garment file

New internal stitch option

A new internal stitch option is now available.

Up to now all internal stitches where following the carved edge shape. It is now possible to choose between this behavior and forcing the edge to be stitched in a straight line between the two points.

Garment related pose

In addition to the available garment related avatar (where a reference to the last used avatar is saved with the garment file) new garments saved with version 4.8 also remember the pose of this avatar.

Recalling the garment related avatar for such garments will load it using the pose that was current when the file was saved.

New Environment: Gradient

A new environment is available with version 4.8.

The new Gradient environment is a soft, neutral environment which leaves the focus on the avatar and the outfit.

The new Browzwear version 4.7 has improved simulation, an option to view fabric back side differently than the face side, much faster database and windows 7 compatibility.
These and other improvements mark yet another significant progress for the Browzwear application family

Simulation 40
Version 4.7 comes with an improved simulation version 40. The main features of simulation 40 are:

• Speed:
  • Simulation 40 is faster by an average of 20-25 percents
  • Simulating in Fast mode, increases the average speed by another 25 percents.

• Improved repeatability
• Automatic grid matching

New fabric Face and Back options

Fabric & trims can be viewed also as if turned inside out. This mode is called Back view, as opposed to the normal Face view.

Database enhancements

Browzwear version 4.7 comes with a new version of the Browzwear Database Administration application and a new version of the database scheme itself.
The main improvements are much faster data loading and added support for SQL server 2008. Some important bug fixes are also included.
